This package includes the ideal quantity of worms, ensuring a substantial amount of your waste can be recycled. It is set up 2 to 3 months advanced, and is already producing premium quality plant tonic.
*Various local councils provide a subsidy to allow their residents and ratepayers to purchase the Mega Worm Farm Kit at a reduced cost. Check out our Workshops page for more information on the council subsidies.
Have your own Worm Farm?
We can supply worms to establish a worm farm that you have already acquired. If you have a unit like a Can-O-Worms, Worm Factory, or Worm Cafe, we recommend starting them off with either 1/2kg (approx. 2000) or 1kg (approx. 4000) worms. We can set your worm farm up so that it is 2 to 3 months advanced, by filling up the first working tray with Castings (15 litres) and placing the worms in the second working tray.
For larger worm farms like old refrigerators or bath tubs, the recommended set-up is 3kgs (approx. 12000) worms on a base of Castings (45 litres). Of course, you can start off with more worms if you wish. An instruction booklet is provided as part of our set up.
Worm Farm trays and replacement parts
For most efficient use, your worm farm should have 1 base and 3 working
trays. The newer versions of the Worm Factory and the Can-O-Worms only
include 2 working trays. If you already own one of these worm farms, you
can contact us to order a 3rd tray. We can also provide any replacement parts required for these worm farms.
